The American Sign Language (ASL) courses on the WPSD campus are limited in size so that each participant can receive individual attention from the instructor. Opportunities are provided to interact with deaf and hard-of-hearing people to promote signing skills and cultural understanding.

No academic credit is awarded for the American Sign Language courses.

At WPSD, ASL courses go beyond sign language instruction. Classes promote not only signing skills, but also a greater understanding of Deaf culture. Sessions held on the main campus during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. No academic credit is awarded.Contact Joan Stone at jstone@wpsd.org.
