Becoming a Good Listener –
Presented by The Scranton School’s Speech Language Pathologist & Outreach Team Member, Ruth Gerrity
Topics include: Maintaining Equipment (Ling Six Sound Test and Troubleshooting); How do kids learn to listen?? (Erber’s Stages of Auditory Development); How to make listening fun…am I asking too much or too little?; How do I make listening easier?; How do I “step up” the challenge without frustrating my child?; What kinds of things affect a child’s ability to make progress with listening?
When: Friday, February 3rd from 10am-noon.

ASL Classes
At WPSD, ASL courses go beyond sign language instruction. Classes not only promote signing skills, but also a greater understanding of Deaf culture. Class size is limited so that each participant can receive individual attention from the instructor.
Sessions are held on the Pittsburgh campus on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. during the school year. No academic credit is awarded.

Winter 2012 January 11 – February 29 – Deadline for Registration is January 6, 2012
Spring 2012 March 14 – May 9
