Fall-In Auction & Gala
WPSD’s dinner auction, held annually in October, is an evening of good food, good friends and the opportunity to bid on some fabulous items. Anyone interested in participating in the event should contact Vicki Cherney at 412-244-4207.

Elroy Face Golf Tournament
The 2008 event will be held on Thursday, June 26th at the Champion Lakes Golf Course in Ligonier, PA. For the past 14 years, ElRoy Face, former Pittsburgh Pirate, has graciously hosted this event to help raise funds to support the WPSD Choices for Children Parent Infant Program. Harrisburg Golf Outing: An annual golf outing in May benefits deaf and hard-of-hearing children in the central Pennsylvania area. The money raised by this golf tournament funds a variety of unique camps, workshops and programs that benefit central Pennsylvania families with deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

American Sign Language Classes
At WPSD, ASL courses go beyond sign language instruction. We provide opportunities to interact with deaf and hard-of-hearing people, promoting not only signing skills, but also greater understanding of Deaf culture. Class size is limited to ensure individual attention from the instructor. No academic credit is awarded for the American Sign Language courses. Sessions are scheduled during the school year and take place at the main campus on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
