Target. Take Charge of Education.
Did you know that you can designate the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf to receive 1% of your total purchase when you shop at your local Target store – just by using your Target credit card?
Target participates in the “Take Charge of Education” program that is designed to benefit K-12 schools that are located in the United States and have a non-profit status. WPSD is enrolled as a qualifying school to receive these donations. So, during every shopping trip at Target, you benefit with 5% savings and WPSD benefits with up to 1% of your purchases. Then, WPSD spends the money on school needs such as books, technology, field trips, and other programs – anything that can use a little extra funding.
Every trip to Target becomes a fundraiser when you join the Take Charge of Education program. Teachers, parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, and neighbors – anyone who supports or would like to support WPSD is welcome to join. The more people involved, the harder the program works for WPSD, so get started today!
The Take Charge of Education program requires the use of one of the REDcards, which include the Target Credit Card, Target Debit Card, and the Target Visa Credit Card. Apply online or in any Target store. Target card account holders can sign up for the Take Charge of Education program by calling 1-800-316-6142 or by visiting Target.com/tcoe.
You will need to designate an eligible K-12 School. Simply choose the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf from the list of eligible schools and start shopping.
Target tracks purchases made on the participating Target Credit Cards and will periodically distribute the accumulated donations to participating schools.
